Saturday

 

A couple of Saturdays ago we drove to Ilwaco to see the Pirate ships that were docked there. The two that were there have been used in various movies and shows. It was a beautiful day, and quite warm for the beach!

Esther didn't believe me that she would get sunburned........ until the next day!

We met up with Gladys, Mike, and Camryn later in the day. Luckily the pool was open for the girls!

Spring Break continued... ( from my phone )

 My favorite part of the house was the front porch, which was cool and quiet. It got the morning sun and afternoon shade. There was an old wicker rocking chair that was perfect for getting Max to sleep. (99% of the time)

Being the morning person he is, Stuart would sit out there with me and we would try and plan out the day. Camryn loved to be in on the planning!

 Mathew was the only one up for morning dips in the hot tub. The girls were always still in bed.

Stuart and I walked around a lot. We would take Max or Kate, but this time we had both. I had Max in the front pack and kate was in the stroller. After a few blocks Kate fell asleep, and Max was doing aerobic exercises! So we put Max in the stroller, And I carried Kate. I think it was to hot for him in the front pack.

 Kate is happier in her car seat than Max!

The week went by way to fast! I am already thinking about going back this summer. 

Spring Break 2016

This year the house we stayed in was built in the early 1900's. In the 30's and early 40's it served as the town hospital. So of course the girls think its haunted. They researched the house, and read all the accounts of paranormal activity! By the time we got there they were all worked up and a little nervous.

They did tell us that the room Gladys stayed in was the children's ward. The basement was a little creepy, but it was dark and cold, (as most basements are) and I only went down there to use the washer and dryer. Other than that it was a lovely old home with a wonderful front porch enclosed with big windows. Nothing scary.

We only had one day of sunshine. It even got up in the 70's, and knowing it was going to be the only sunny day we spent lots of time walking to and from the beach.

 Of course Esther and Maddie had to swim because the sun was out and it was warm. Even Elizabeth got out there with them. (But didnt swim, the water was way to cold!)

 Mathew drove up later after school, and spent the rest of the week with us. I was glad he was able to spend some time with us. I do like it when were all together.

 Even Rose, Taylor, Brendan, and Ty came up for a day.

It was so nice to get away for the week. I think I like Spring Break as much as the kids do!

Long Beach

It has been getting into the 100's these past two weeks, so we went to the beach for some cooler weather. It was perfect, other than Mathew not wanting to go, and Esther was on Trek.  Had Esther been there I am sure two girls would have gone swimming.

 Elizabeth would not look at me, so this is what I will use. 

Brianna is about 22 weeks.

 Mathew turned 19 (July 30th). He spends most of his time with his friends which I have been told is normal, but I do miss him being around. He did go camping with us, sat in the hot tub with me, played mini golf, and hiked up the sand dune with everyone.

The weather was perfect, camping food is always good with lots of snacks, and I was with the people I love the most. It was a good weekend!

Labor Day Weekend

We couldn't have asked for better weather. I didn't even have to wear a jacket. A nice end to our summer.
