State was Friday and Saturday. Luckily Mathew jumped on Saturday because it was sunny. Unlike Friday! It was fun to watch all the different events. I can see why it takes so long. I had my trusty stadium seat ( that was worth EVERY penny! ), my blanket, and snacks, so I was set for the whole day.
Mathew easily cleared 5' 6".
He finished at 5' 10" much to his frustration. He can clear 6', but his heel kept clipping the bar. I was proud of his jumps, and I know its because I am his mom. He took 10th, and was the youngest jumper.
On our way home we went through Leavenworth. Neither of us had been there and wanted to see what the town was like. The town was neat, with
all the fun and interesting shops, just a little touristy for me. To be honest, I was more impressed with the scenery. It was a beautiful drive through through the mountains.
Mathew slept most of the way home.
I thought of you, Elizabeth, seeing the mountains and allllll the green trees!
After the long weekend I still love this man.
