Spring break...

There is something exciting about starting a trip to the beach with sunshine, sweethearts, happy children, snacks, and good music.
I know the weather at the beach is unpredictable, and different than it is at home, but we couldn't help hoping that the blue skies would follow us there.
Lucky for us yesterday was sunny and warm enough to wear a light jacket without a hat. Yay for me!
I don't think Mathew or Esther get very cold.
To them, Sun=shorts and swim suits!
It has to be at least 79 degrees for me to go without a jacket (according to Stuart).

Today is cold and rainy, with some hail and thunderstorms! We hung out in the cabin this morning until we thought the Underwater Sea Gardens were open, only to find out they wont be open until tomorrow. So we did the next best thing. We stopped at the candy shop. On the way back we stopped at the park when we had a break in the rain.

Esther was more proud of her face
plant than her jump. Go figure.

We got a little cold, mostly our faces, and hands.
Its the wind that gets you.

To warm up from the beach we swam in the pool and hot tub until our fingers and feet were all wrinkly like an old person, according to Esther. We played candy bar bingo in the lodge, Mathew and I won the most. We had some snacks, swam some more, had supper, played some pool and ping pong, watched a movie, until we're all pooped and ready for bed. The only disappointing thing is that it is to wet to have a campfire!
