Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey...delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas, and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.
Gordon B. Hinckley

This has been heavy on mind this past while. I look around and see the things I need to do, get to do, want to do... there just isn't enough time to do it all. I know I have a hard time prioritizing, so - I have decided that I need to focus on what is most important. Let go of the things that don't matter. Be freer with my hugs and kisses, the I love you's and kind words. More thankful, tolerant, and patient. Enjoy the small quiet moments. I don't want to miss any beautiful vistas, and certainly not a thrilling burst of speed!

Sunday afternoon checking out the river after WEEKS!!! of rain.
